RUFFY WEEKEND WALKERS   ...   Next walk info at What's On
The Ruffy Weekend Walkers meet (and walk!) monthly, on a Sunday.  All walks will be fairly easy and take about 2 hours. New walkers welcome - come see some wonderful landscapes, interesting flora and possibly some local fauna!  Great company assured! The group tries to meet on the first Sunday of each month - just give Neil or Justus a call for confirmation.  Convene at the Ruffy Hall at 10 minutes to 10am
(During Summer/Daylight Saving months meet at 10minutes to 5pm for twilight walks)

RuffArtz - 2013 A Season of Saturdays had an hilarious start

RuffArtz is a small volunteer arts organisation, now in its thirteenth year, which is dedicated to bringing high quality music, theatre and arts experiences into our community at affordable prices. RuffArtz hosts a series of four music performances each year called “A Season of Saturdays” and two or three other theatre performances at the Ruffy Hall. The Ruffy Art Show also is presented by RuffArtz.

The club holds events each year with the well-attended Annual Gymkhana held on the first Sunday in February.

 RUFFY COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP  

The Ruffy Community Action Group (RCAG) was formed early in 2009 as a ‘Special Committee of Council’ under Section 86 of the Local Government Act, to support, coordinate and supplement the activities of various existing community groups in the Ruffy area. Its fundamental aim is to enhance the quality of life of the Ruffy community through a range of community led initiatives and projects, which are set out in the Ruffy Community Action Plan.

TABLELANDS COMMUNITY CENTRE (TCC)

Due to Labour Day the next TCC Meeting date will be held Monday March 18th, 2013 8pm at TCC

The former Ruffy Primary School, which operated for 120 years, from 1886 to 2005, delivering a formative education to almost twenty generations of Tablelands children, has been purchased by the Shire of Strathbogie from the Department of Education for transformation into the Tablelands Community Centre.  

The TCC will provide a welcoming and accessible resource & education centre for the entire Tablelands community and our visitors.  It will provide education and outdoor recreation spaces, community internet access, a local history library and much much more.

Ruffy Playgroup meets on the 1st Thurday of each month at the Tablelands Community Centre (old Ruffy School)
from 10:30am to 12:30pm

Enjoy cut & paste, playdough, colouring activities, outside play and lots more

Please bring a plate of food to share.  $3 donation per family towards supplies
Specifically for children from 0-6, children of all ages are welcome to attend e.g. school holidays

The fifth Ruffy Art Show and Sale (Nov 2012) was another outstanding success. Sixty artists from near and far contributed more than 180 works of art. The Friday night 'Meet the Artists Preview' was attended by over100 guests and more than 300 people visited Ruffy over the weekend. Three Ruffy gardens were Open for Inspection which contributed to the overall profit for the weekend of +$6,000. Thankyou to all who helped towards to the success of this event. The next Ruffy Art Show & Sale will be held in November 2014.
